THE STUDIO
It began with her grandmother’s porcelain.
KLI VANER is a candle studio from Tel Aviv, started by a mother and her young daughter. It began with an unexpected stretch of time at home together. Making candles felt like a good way to bring light, scent and warmth into their lives at a complicated time.
The first candle was poured into a simple glass jar. The mother thought it worked perfectly well. The daughter disagreed. She insisted the next one belonged in a porcelain teacup from a set her grandmother had given them.

Filled with wax, the cup became something new without losing what had made it worth keeping. That first candle shaped everything that followed: a search for vessels worth bringing out of the cupboard.
Over time, the studio expanded into hand-dipped candles too — made slowly, layer by layer, with the small variations of the hand left visible.
KLI VANER is still built around those two practices, and around the relationship that started it: two generations making, learning and building something together.
